| ABADÁ Teens™ is a youth-oriented outreach program developed to install and promote discipline, health, fitness and self-motivation through the practice of the art of Capoeira. The program consists of Capoeira classes, community performances, workshops, and activities at their respective schools.
This program has been in operation since 1998, and several of our ABADÁ Teens from the early years are now young adults, college graduates, and Capoeira teachers themselves. Many students have the opportunities to attend Capoeira events, such as the bi-annual World Games of Capoeira and the International Congress in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, and other events throughout New York City, the United States, and abroad.
The ABADÁ Teens™ program is offered a number of New York City Public Schools and community sites, and is open to all students between the ages of 13-19.For a schedule of the teens' classes, please click here.
